Today is my off day from working out. Often I feel weird on my off day because I'm used to always being active. Ever since I was a kid, I've been training and being active with something. I think this is one reason why I have no problem being commited to a workout routine. I feel as if I don't work out then something is wrong. I can never relate to anyone who says they can't work out, don't like it, or don't have the time. I am so used to working out that it's like eating everyday- got to do it. I remember somedays, my day would be packed with other activities such as school, work, appointments and meetings. And if I had to, the last thing in my day, regardless of how late I would go workout. Or, Ill get up extremley early.
But yeah, today is my off day. I've read in articles that maybe two days off, or a workout cycle of three days on, one off is ideal. So far, I'm doing six days of working out: weights & light cardio then a day speed intervals. I'll try this for six months. Then on the seventh day I rest.
The only reason I rest is because you have to. The body needs to recoup.
