Today I have to give a speech. Here it is:
Weight managemnt is a hot topic in American society today. One tool in analyzing your weight is to calculate your BMI. Your BMI or Body Mass Index is a measurement that compares your height to your wight and then places you into one of four classifications: undererweight, healthy weight, overweight, adn obese.
First of all we must gather our materials needed to calculate a BMI. They are a scale to weight yourself, a measuring stick, a calculator, and writing utensils.
Now Steip 1 is to weight yourself. I'm stepping on my imaginary scale and I see that I weigh 148 pounds. Now, I will measure my height in inches. My measuring stick shows 5 foot 8 which is 68 inches. Now using our utensils, we can calculate the BMI.
BMI= weight in pounds divided by height in inches squared. All of this is multiplied by 703. My BMI turns out to be 22.35, a healthy weight.
That's enough of my speech for this post. To catch the rest gotta go to the class.
