Morning Jog

Date: Monday, November 5, 2007
Time: 5:00 PM
Place: Roommate's Room

This morning, I did my usual jog down and back up 173 street. I live on 173 street. It is quite hilly- a nice terrain to run. When I begin, there is a steep dip, then it levels out a little and then goes steep again. Then that's when I turn around. The first half of the jog is quite simple, sometimes I feel the burn half way through as the hill levels. When I turn around, the hill is upward and a little steep. I have to pick up the pace then. When the street levels off, I'm moving at a quite faster pace. It's really no sweat because I have built up endurance. My endurance really has built up because I perform speed intervals on the stationary bike at my gym three times a week. Then the ending of the jog had the steepest hill. I tend to jog up as fast as possible. Once the sprint is over, the jog is done and I'm at 173rd and Grand Concourse. I then walk around in circles a little as a cool down. It's a good practice to put your hands on your head during a cool down. I do that or put my hands on my hip. I doesn't take long for me to cool down after my morning jogs.
