I don’t think much about the end of the world. If it happens, then it happens and I’ll have to deal with it when it does. If the end of the world occurs, I’d be praying and praying. I’m not as active with my religion as I was when I was younger, but I do have faith. If I knew the end was year, I’d become like a minister or preacher. It would be stupid not to.
I read an article in Time magazine a while back about the possibility of a devastating meteor hitting Earth. It’s possible- look at what happened to the dinosaurs. I think it’s important to have a space program such as NASA so we can learn about what’s beyond Earth. We can take precautions if a huge meteor was near- maybe blow it up. Also, there may be life beyond Earth. The universe is so huge, so why would Earth be the only place where life exists. If aliens exist, I be they’re not aware of us.
Another possibility for the end of the world is some crazy terrorist blowing up everything. Many with evil intentions have access to nuclear weapons. One move could destroy everything. If it happens, it would be like a dream. 9/11 felt like a dream. I saw most of the events first hand that day while looking out a window in lower Manhattan. When things like that happen, you just have to deal with it. Shock may kick in, but you don’t just sit there like a deer in the headlights.
