I think it depends on the organization's mission. For most, diversity is needed.
But some firms who are catering to a niche market, diversity may not be necessary for success.
There are very few that will not benefit from diversity. Diversity is a competitve advantage as different backgrounds bring different views and ideas to the table. Diversity is critical to success as globalization continues to increase

It's a matter of how high a bar the company sets to reach. But again, nowadays it's necessary to integrate diversity into organizations.
