Whenever I feel as if I have done an exceptionally good job, I also had a high level of self-efficacy. I definitely take on an internal locus of control with a high level of positive affectivity. This combo is what tends to drive me.
I feel as if my motivation is internally driven. But, I also relate to the two-factor theory of motivation. I definitely see how it is applicable in the workplace although many researchers criticize it.

I can think of many instances when I've done a good job. At my former job, I got a rush from maintaining resturant operation with limited staff and boosted sales due to street marketing that I thought of. I have a Type A personality so stress is actually a motivator in itself. I enjoyed the "pressure" yet didn't really view it as exhausting work.
